Kirat Randhawa
Associate Psychotherapist
Kirat is a contemplative guide and associate psychotherapist who bridges together the mystical and the mundane to offer a multidimensional approach to healing. Kirat’s approach is centered on helping clients reconnect with their sovereignty in order to participate in their lives with greater wisdom, clarity, and possibility.

While life can bring about challenging experiences, her approach restores the client’s personal power, in turn allowing them to develop a greater sense of inner resourcefulness. Kirat uses her background in Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, relational theories, and archetypal work to help clients transform their lives from the inside out.

Her clinical training includes complex trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, self-harm, loss/grief, eating disorders, and difficulties with intrapersonal (self-compassion/self-esteem) and interpersonal issues. She also works creatively with clients to establish greater trust, intuitive awareness, and meaning in life. Kirat addresses concerns related to important life-changes, relational dynamics (romantic/family/other), spirituality, and embedded emotional patterns.

Through her studies at The Nalanda Institute, Kirat merges contemplative training with the field of psychology to identify how these practices can be used as instruments for expansion. From her research in contemplative science, alongside her training at The Tibet House, MNDFL Meditation, and in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, her approach supports clients on their path toward greater alignment and joy. She also works intimately with Jungian analysis and Internal Family Systems to help clients restore balance between their intellect and intuition.

Kirat holds a BA from Columbia University in Psychology and an AA in Buying and Merchandising from The London College of Fashion, and is currently completing her masters in Mental Health Counseling at Columbia University. She has completed training in intensive outpatient care for adolescents and young adults, and has worked across a variety of health settings to bridge the gap between mental health and mindfulness. She consults with several brands to skillfully introduce meditative practices into the modern culture, and offers both counseling and consultation.
